Gastroscopy (Upper Endoscopy) is a vital diagnostic procedure aimed at thoroughly examining the upper digestive tract, encompassing the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. This involves the use of a flexible endoscope equipped with a miniature camera and light source, which is gently guided through the mouth and into the digestive system. This allows for real-time visualization and assessment of the upper gastrointestinal structures. Gastroscopy plays a crucial role in diagnosing various conditions such as ulcers, gastritis, reflux, Barrett’s esophagus, and early signs of esophageal cancer. Additionally, it enables the removal of polyps and the evaluation of abnormal tissue.

Colonoscopy serves as a comprehensive examination of the large intestine (colon) and the rectum. This procedure involves the insertion of a flexible colonoscope through the rectum to thoroughly inspect the inner lining of the colon.
